Universitype Font License Agreement
1. License Agreement
Thank you for choosing our fonts; your support is greatly appreciated! We hope they enhance your projects and bring you satisfaction.
Please take note of important licensing details. When you acquire a typeface from Universitype, it is considered software and is governed by the terms in this End User License Agreement (EULA). This protection relies on your commitment and trust. Creating a typeface requires a significant investment of time and effort. Your purchase signifies your acceptance of the EULA, which is a binding contract ensuring respectful use of the font. Non-compliance with these terms constitutes a breach of the agreement, preventing further use of the font. We appreciate your understanding and adherence to these licensing terms.
By purchasing, downloading, installing, or using our Digital Fonts, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these terms. These terms legally bind you to Universitype, and you must have the authority to enter into such agreements. If you do not agree, please do not purchase, access, download, install, or use the Digital Font(s).
2. Licensing Model
We grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to use our font software. This license covers unlimited applications across various media platforms, including Print & Social Media, Websites, Logos, Applications, Servers, Videos, and Corporate usage. Our pricing structure is based solely on the size of your organization or your client’s organization, with the number of employees being the only consideration. Unlike the size of the design agency or the number of font users, the total number of employees within your or your client’s organization determines the licensing requirements.

3. Organization Size
Font files (OTF, TTF, WOFF) are non-transferable. You agree not to share the font unless in accordance with the terms based on your organization’s size.
We base our pricing on the total number of employees in the company, not on the number of people in the design department or the number of font users.
4. Refund Policy
We aim to provide an excellent experience when you purchase our software licenses. However, all sales are final, and we do not offer refunds. If you encounter technical issues, please contact us at: support@universitype.com.
This policy helps avoid accidental purchases. By purchasing our fonts, you agree to these EULA terms.
5. Buying Font Files for a Client
As a payment facilitator, you may procure font files on behalf of your client, but your client must retain ownership of the license. This allows your client to integrate the font files into their projects seamlessly, ensuring uninterrupted operations. While you manage the font file acquisition, your client is responsible for adhering strictly to the licensing terms.
6. Trial Fonts
Our trial license allows you to test our font software by creating sample documents, visuals, and web pages. You can use it to showcase your work to clients or others. We offer a free trial with all glyphs included to help you make informed design choices. Students may use our fonts for academic and personal projects under this trial, but commercial use requires the purchase of a suitable license.
7. Copyright and Trademark
We own the font software, which is protected by copyright law. The intellectual property of the design belongs to us. When you purchase it, you obtain a license, not ownership. This non-exclusive and non-refundable license grants you specific rights to use the font software. You may not sell or claim ownership of the software or its design. We retain all other rights.
8. Compatibility and Usage
Universitype provides desktop font formats in OpenType (.otf) and, upon request, in TrueType (.ttf). Webfont packages include WOFF (.woff) and WOFF2 (.woff2) font files. The fonts you download from our website are valid, installable, and printable. While we test OpenType layout features independently, their support depends on your system, software versions, or browsers. Please refer to the relevant documentation for your system, software, or browser.
9. Warranties and Disclaimers
The Digital Font is provided as-is. Universitype does not offer any warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a specific purpose. You assume all risks regarding the quality and performance of the Digital Font.
Universitype does not guarantee that the Digital Font’s functions will meet your needs or be error-free. Any implied warranties by law last only thirty (30) days. After this period, there are no warranties.
Universitype is not responsible for damages caused by misuse of the Digital Font by the end user or third parties. The company may change this End User License Agreement at any time without prior notice to accommodate future commercial and technical changes.
10. Miscellaneous
This contract constitutes our entire agreement, replacing any previous discussions. Any changes must be written and agreed upon by both parties. If any part of this agreement is unenforceable, the remaining terms still apply, and we will replace the unenforceable part. If we waive a right or allow something once, it does not mean we will do so again in the future.
